DENTAL EXAM

Routine dental treatment

Dental check-up is part of basic medical care.

Many people realize the importance of having regular dental check-ups, but many people still neglect their oral health. You may avoid going for an exam due to dental phobia , lack of time, or a number of reasons. However, this regular visit is essential to avoid painful and embarrassing dental emergencies that are likely in the future.

Our dentists recommend that you have a dental check-up every six months.

Digital x-rays

Taking digital x-rays is used to diagnose all kinds of dental problems.

Dental fillings

They consist in restoring the functioning of chewing and the reinforcement of a damaged, broken or worn tooth.

Professional cleaning

Removal of accumulated dental plaque and tartar by descaling and professional ultrasonic cleaning.

Periodontal treatment

Complete cleaning of teeth, their roots and gums with antibiotics or surgery.

Fluoride treatment

It consists of preventing tooth decay as well as the formation of plaque which leads to the formation of cavity.

Cancer screening

Consists of detecting in advance the existence of precancerous and cancerous lesions of the oral cavity

Why do I need to tell my dentist about my medical history?

It is important that your dentist assesses your general health. This includes your past and current medical history, any allergies or chronic illnesses, and any medications you may be taking. This is because certain medications can have an impact on the treatment that your dentist may prescribe and thus they can increase the risk of dental abnormalities for you.

Will I need to have x-rays?

Having x-rays depends mainly on the date of the last dental x-ray and the evaluation of your teeth. Digital x-rays reduce our patients’ exposure to radiation, enlarge images and visualize them clearly for effective diagnosis.

How can I maintain my oral health at home?

In addition to your regular visits to the dentist, it is important that you continue to take care of your smile. This means brushing at least twice a day and flossing at least once a day to remove food debris stuck between the teeth. They are essential parts of any oral health routine.
